Treatment of Severe class Proclination and Overbite

Here is a severe case, She presented with very incompetent lips, proclinded max-mand incisors with severe deepbite and a convex profile. Using conventional mechanics it was not possible properly treat this case. Hence it was decided to use microimplants to retract and intrude maxillary incisors to obtain optimal esthetic outcome. Note in the second pic, palatal mucosa level. Radigraph shows minor rounding of apices despite rapid intrusion. This case would have gone for orthognathic surgery but for the use of microimplants
