Incisor intrusion in periodontally compromised case with Mini implants in orthodontics

This patient, a male aged 40 years came with complaint of midline spacing which was increasing since the palatal wire bonded as splint had been broken. Radiographs showed just about 25% bone support. His gingival condition was stabilised and it was decided to do space closure and intrusion with microimplants. Only four maxillary incisors were bonded with straightwire brackets and a section NiTi was used. Treatment was completed in two months.Pic on left is pretreatment and on right you can see the post treatment. Observe how bone level is increased and crown length of both incisors is reduced making outcome esthetic.
